FAQs

Answers to the questions we're asked most, grouped by topic.

General
Where are your products made?

Everything is designed, printed and finished in our own studio in Kathmandu, Nepal. We don't resell or import finished pieces — if it carries our name, it was made here.

Is everything made to order?

Yes. We hold no finished stock: each piece is printed for you once your order is confirmed, then hand-finished. That's why small variations between pieces exist — they're a mark of how it's made, not a flaw.

How quickly will I hear back?

You'll get a first reply the same day. A quote on a catalogue piece follows within 12 hours, and a quote on a custom project within 48 hours.

What makes your work different from cheaper 3D printing?

Our quality check is pass or fail with nothing in between — a piece either meets the standard or it's reprinted, and we never sell flawed pieces off cheaply as seconds. We hold a 95%+ print success standard, every order is inspected before it's packed, and it arrives in proper protective packaging with a care card.

Orders
How do I place an order?

Send us an enquiry — from any product page, the contact form, or by email. We'll confirm exactly what you want in writing, send you a price and a delivery date, and production starts once payment is confirmed.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, Rs. 800. Below that the setup and packaging cost more than the piece itself. If your idea comes in under it, we'll usually suggest pairing it with a second small item rather than turning you away.

When does production actually start?

Only once payment or the deposit is confirmed. Printing commits machine hours we can't recover, so we never start on a verbal go-ahead — that protects your delivery date as much as it protects us.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Before printing begins, yes — we'll re-confirm the change in writing so there's no confusion. Once printing has started the machine hours are committed and can't be returned, so we'll tell you honestly where your order stands the moment you ask.

How long does an order take?

Most orders run about 5 to 7 days from confirmation to delivery. Custom work depends on how quickly the design is approved. If you have a fixed date, tell us before you pay and we'll confirm whether it's achievable rather than hope.

Will I know what's happening with my order?

Yes. You'll hear from us when your piece goes into printing and again when it's dispatched with tracking, and we check in within 48 hours of delivery to make sure it arrived as it should.

Do you take corporate or bulk orders?

Yes. You'll get a written quote valid for 15 days covering price, specification, timeline and payment terms. Volume pricing starts at 25 units, and logo setup is waived on orders over Rs. 25,000.

Custom Orders
What do you need from me to start?

Less than you'd think. A photo, a rough sketch or even a written description is enough to begin — along with any sizes or wording, and the date you need it by. We'll ask for the rest.

How much will my custom piece cost?

It depends on size, complexity and quantity, which is why we quote each brief individually instead of publishing a fixed price. You'll have a quote within 48 hours, with no obligation. The minimum order is Rs. 800.

How many revisions do I get?

Two rounds of revisions are included in every custom quote. Beyond that we bill further changes at cost — we'll always tell you before that point is reached, never after.

What if you can't make what I've asked for?

We'll say so plainly and explain why, then offer the closest thing that will work. We'd rather decline a job than deliver a compromised version of it.

How does payment work on custom work?

A 50% deposit confirms your slot and starts production, with the balance due before or on delivery.

What if I change my mind after approving the design?

Personalised work is made for you and can't be resold, and the machine hours are already spent — so a correct, as-approved custom piece can't be refunded for a change of heart. That's exactly why we confirm every spelling and specification with you in writing before anything is printed.

What happens to the photos I send you?

They stay in your order file, they're never used for anything else without your written permission, and we delete them if you ask. That applies to every personal photo, including lithophanes.

Shipping
Where do you deliver?

Anywhere in Nepal. Inside the Kathmandu Valley we deliver directly; outside the valley we ship by an established domestic courier with tracking.

What does delivery cost?

Inside the Kathmandu Valley it's Rs. 250, and free on orders of Rs. 3,000 or more. Outside the valley we pass on the actual courier charge plus Rs. 50 handling, confirmed with your quote before you pay.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. We deliver within Nepal only at this stage — we'd rather not promise a cross-border service before we can stand behind the delivery times and the returns process.

How long does delivery take outside the valley?

Add one to two days to the usual timeline for outside-valley addresses. We build that into the date we give you rather than quoting a best case.

Will I get tracking?

Yes. When your order is dispatched you'll get the courier, the tracking reference and the expected delivery window. Orders over Rs. 10,000, gift-packaged pieces and business orders require a signature on delivery.

What if my parcel arrives damaged, or doesn't arrive at all?

Tell us and we'll remake it straight away at our cost. Chasing the courier is our job, not yours — you won't be asked to wait on a claim before we start your replacement.

Can you send an order straight to someone as a gift?

Yes. Gift orders ship with no invoice or price anywhere in the parcel, a message card for the recipient, and the tracking updates come to you rather than to them.

Is my order insured in transit?

Shipments above roughly Rs. 10,000 in declared value are insured. Below that, you're covered by our own remake policy, which costs you nothing either way.

Returns
What if my piece arrives with a fault?

We remake it, free. A print flaw, a functional fault, or a personalisation we got wrong is our error to fix — we'd rather remake it than explain it. Send us one photo so we can trace what went wrong and stop it happening again.

Do you ever sell flawed pieces at a discount?

Never. A piece either meets our standard or it doesn't leave the studio. There are no seconds, no B-grade sales and no quiet discounts on flawed work.

Can I return a custom piece because I changed my mind?

A correct, as-approved personalised piece can't be returned — it can't be resold, and the machine hours are already spent. We confirm every detail with you in writing before printing precisely so this situation stays rare.

When would you refund rather than remake?

If the fault is ours and a remake genuinely can't solve it — the occasion has passed, for instance — we refund the price of the piece. The cost of our own mistake is ours to absorb, never yours.

Payments
How can I pay?

eSewa, Khalti or bank transfer. Send us a screenshot once it's done and we'll confirm your order and your delivery date right away.

When do I pay?

Catalogue pieces under Rs. 3,000 are paid in full up front. Custom work, and any order of Rs. 3,000 or more, takes a 50% deposit to begin, with the balance due before or on delivery. Business orders are 50% in advance and 50% on delivery against an invoice.

Do you offer cash on delivery?

We'd rather not — prepayment is what protects your production slot. Where it's genuinely needed we can arrange it on orders up to Rs. 3,000.

Are your prices negotiable?

Our published prices are fixed. We'd rather price a piece honestly once than mark it up so it can be discounted later. Volume orders have their own published pricing.

Do you offer any discounts?

Three, all published rather than negotiated: 15% on 25 or more of the same piece and 25% on 100 or more; 5% or a free upgrade from your third order onward; and Rs. 300 credit for both of you when you refer someone, on their next order over Rs. 2,000.

Are prices in Nepali Rupees?

Yes, every price on this site is in NPR (Rs.), inclusive of what's stated in your quote.

Products
What are your pieces made from?

PLA, in a range of finishes including matte, silk and the white lithophane grade. PETG — tougher and more heat-tolerant — joins the range in late 2026 for functional and outdoor pieces.

Are your lamps safe to leave on?

Yes. Every lamp we make uses a low-wattage LED module of 5W or less and has no bulb socket at all, so it can't be fitted with a hotter bulb later. New lamp designs are heat-soak tested before they're ever sold.

Can I put a piece outdoors, in a car, or in the dishwasher?

No — and we'd rather tell you now than replace it later. PLA begins to soften around 55–60°C, so direct sun, a parked car's dashboard or a dishwasher will deform it. If you need a piece that survives heat or weather, wait for our PETG range or ask us about it.

Are your cookie cutters food-safe?

They're sold as craft cutters, not certified food-safe. The fine layer lines in any FDM print can trap bacteria, so we won't claim otherwise. Use them with a cling-film barrier between the cutter and the dough, or for non-food crafts.

Will mine look exactly like the photograph?

Very close, but not identical. Each piece is printed and finished by hand, so slight variation in finish and colour is normal and expected. If a piece ever arrives looking meaningfully different from what you ordered, that's a fault and we'll remake it.

3D Printing
How does 3D printing actually work?

The printer builds your piece up from nothing, laying down fine layers of molten plastic one on top of the next until the object exists. It's why intricate geometry costs us no more than simple shapes — and why a large piece takes hours rather than minutes.

Can you print from a file I already have?

Yes. Send it with your brief and we'll tell you whether it will print well at the quality we're willing to put our name on, and what it would cost.

Can you copy an existing product for me?

Not if it's someone else's design or a branded item — we won't reproduce work we don't have the right to. If you like the idea behind something, tell us and we'll design an original piece that does the same job.

How strong are printed pieces?

Our PLA pieces are made for display, décor and light use, and are strong enough for that indefinitely. They aren't structural, load-bearing or heat-resistant. If you need a part that has to take real stress, tell us what it does and we'll say honestly whether we can make it.

Why does a small piece still take days?

The print itself is only part of it. Every piece is then cleaned up, hand-finished, inspected against our quality checklist and packed properly. We'd rather add a day than send something we haven't checked.
